DRS Universal Trauma
TECHNOLOGY/OPERATING PRINCIPLE
Operating principle
- The imaging principle employs a proprietary array of semiconductor detectors that scan
the patient's body with a corresponding narrow X-ray beam.
- The X-ray source and X-ray detector are mounted on a rugged C-frame, which moves
along the patients profile.
- For obtaining lateral projection images of the patient, the C-frame is turned and
fixed in any angular position within 100 degrees.
- As in the DRS Universal model, the geometric magnification method is used for
obtaining high-resolution X-ray images of the areas of interest (hand, arm, leg, forearm, etc.).
The area of interest is selected, the patient is positioned by automatically positioning the
table at the necessary distance between the detector and X-ray source.
