Safety ensuring at airports is not only connected with control of the carry on luggage, but also with control of passengers’ shoes, as there is a possible of cold steel and plastic explosives to be carried on board.

The lack of a special technical means leads to passengers’ shoes being inspected at the same time as hand luggage with the help of standard X-Ray inspection system and presupposes taking off the shoes. This procedure is time consuming and inconvenient both for passengers and security personnel.
