Key Features

• High throughput. The CargoScan systems are able to scan and control rapidly the contents of containers and heavy trucks in controlled traffic flow (free-flow operation). When performing the X-ray inspection of the cargo, the driver does not need to leave the cabin ensuring high throughput.
• Compact design. The deployment of the CargoScan requires a relatively even ground surface with dimensions of 8.3 m × 7.6 m; the inspection (radiation safety) zone limits do not exceed 60 m × 80 m. There are no special requirements for additional infrastructure at the deployment site of the scanners.
• Cost-effective solution. The CargoScan provides an economical solution for screening large-volume loads at high speed. It is ideally suited for many applications in the cargo handling industry, allowing a rapid inspection of containers and vehicles without the need to open them.
• High penetration. In the CargoScan the scanning technique for the inspection of containers and trucks makes it possible to obtain high-quality x-ray images of inspected objects through 270 mm of steel at truck speeds of 5-10 km/h and more.
• High-quality X-ray images. The CargoScan provides spatial image resolution of 5 mm and contrast sensitivity of not worse than 3%.
• High level of radiation safety. The radiological safety systems of the CargoScan are provided in strict compliance with state-of-the-art technologies ensuring operator safety for the scanner and the vehicle driver, bystanders and persons (such as a stowaway) who could be hiding inside the containers amongst the cargo (for example, illegal migrants).
